New Delhi: AAP leader Gopal Rai reviews preparations for Maha Rally at Ramlila Maidan, scheduled on June 11, which serves as a platform for AAP to demand the withdrawal of the anti-Delhi ordinance. He stresses the need for the central government to reconsider its stance and priorities. Other leaders of the party were also present on the visit.
The residents of Delhi had been given several chances to form the government and run under the able leader Kejriwal, Rai said. But the residents undeniably declared that they have given the responsibility of running Delhi’s government to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. But the Modi government at the Centre has not been able to tolerate this,” he said.
The Cabinet Minister claims that over the past eight years, various conspiracies have been aimed at halting work in Delhi. The Delhi government protested at the Supreme Court, where a five-member bench and Chief Justice ruled that Delhi is a part of the country and cannot be discriminated against. The government must be accountable to the people and officers for public work, he added.
